We are thrilled to announce that Mariposa Upper Elementary has been honored as a 2025 California Distinguished School by the California Department of Education (CDE). For the 2025 Distinguished Schools program, schools were selected by analyzing data reported through the 2024 California School Dashboard, with a focus on demonstrating excellence and growth in academic achievement and ensuring a positive school climate. Mariposa stands among just 336 elementary schools statewide to receive this distinction, highlighting our commitment to academic excellence and student success. We are so proud of our staff and students, and grateful for the support of our community!

California’s Summer EBT program, known as SUN Bucks, is returning in 2025. This food program provides families $40 per month for food in June, July, and August ($120 total) when children do not have access to school meals.
