Meet Our Administrative Team
 Theresa Fox Principal |
This is my sixh year at Mariposa, and my twenty-ninth year as an educator. Throughout my entire career, 3rd-5th grade has been my sweet spot. I spent twelve years teaching in this grade span, and spent an additional seven years mentoring, coaching and leading upper elementary educators. Before coming to San Carlos, I was a K-5 principal in Menlo Park City School District.
I am particularly passionate about designing learning experiences that engage students and foster ownership, creativity, and collaboration. This aligns perfectly with the Learner Profile for San Carlos Schools, part of our Strategic Plan, so I'm looking forward to bringing that focus to Mariposa in the 26-27 school year.
In addition to being a principal and lifelong learner, I am also a mom. My younger son is a freshman in high school, and my older son just graduated, so I understand the parenting side of this journey! We live on the Peninsula and enjoy lots of baseball, basketball, hiking, reading, cooking and family game nights.

I'm so excited to be a part of the Mariposa team. I bring a background in both school-based programs and administrative support to this role. Over the years, I’ve worked in youth programming, higher education, and educational travel—always in roles focused on organization, communication, and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes.
I have a background in educational leadership, and I really enjoy being part of a team that supports students, families, and school staff in meaningful ways.
I live in San Carlos with my husband, our daughter, and our two cats. Outside of work, I love cooking, doing yoga, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
