Mariposa Upper Elementary School will officially in August 2019 with fourth and fifth grade students from Arundel and Heather Elementary Schools. Facility improvement projects are continuing this summer and include exterior painting, updatied heating and air conditioning systems, new furniture for the fourth grade classrooms, new LCD monitors and Apple TV devices and additional chromebook carts to have a 1:1 student to device ratio for all classroom. As funds become available, other projects will be completed including new gates and signage, remodeled interior courtyard between the classroom buildings, relocating the office closer to the main entrance. Lastly, in the plans is a Learning Commons space for large group gatherings.
